TOMATO/TOMATO CD RELEASE at IMPERIAL THEATRE!

Saint John folk/roots duo Tomato/Tomato celebrates the release of their sophomore album with a full-band performance at the Imperial Theatre June 9 at 7:30PM.

The new album, entitled I Go Where You Go, builds on their signature blend of high energy foot stompers and traditional folk. Husband and wife team John and Lisa McLaggan opted for a live approach for the disc, bringing some of Atlantic Canada’s top bluegrass players into the studio.

Internationally acclaimed fiddle/mandolin player Ray Legere, dobro sensation Andrew Snedden, and The Backyard Devils’ Dillon Robichaud and Remi Arsenault all performed on the album, and will join Tomato/Tomato for the CD release.

“It’s an all-star band of East Coast bluegrass players, all on one stage,” says Lisa McLaggan. “It’s worth the price of admission just to see those guys play – they’re spectacular musicians.”

“This will be a chance for us to recreate our new album in a live setting, as well as perform some of our favorites from the first album,” adds John McLaggan. “The opportunity to launch the album at the Imperial Theatre will be a special treat.”

Tickets for Tomato/Tomato’s CD release are $27.00, are available at the Imperial Theatre Box Office. The event is brought to you by The Wave, Country 94, and Tomato/Tomato Music.
